Bio

Received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in nuclear engineering from Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt, in 1991 and 1994, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in nuclear engineering from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, USA, in 2000.

He is currently a Professor of Physics in the Department of Physics, College of Sciences, United Arab Emirates University, Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. In Spring 2018, he served as a Visiting Professor in the Department of Physics at Sorbonne University, Abu Dhabi. He is currently a Visiting Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA.
